    As the creator of Jackalope Junction, Greg has over 40 years in the design industry with a background in architecture, industrial design, Experience Design, filmmaking, animation, and themed entertainment design. Greg is the guy who can’t sleep at night due to always having more ideas to create amazing experiences for young and old alike.

  • Scott Cook - Creative Director

    As a professional senior creative, Scott’s resume includes everything from developing learn to draw character, to art pools, and illustrated paper engineered castles for the Walt Disney Company. He has contributed content to franchises as diverse as Star Wars to Disney Princesses. Scott and was recently the first recipient from Disney Publishing Worldwide to receive the Disney Legacy Award; the highest honor that can be given to a Disney employee for inspiring others around him to dream, create, and inspire.

  • Russ "The Big Guy" Swanger - Consultant

    Mr. Swanger is an interdisciplinary serial entrepreneur with over forty years of experience in, and insight into multiple aspects of visual communications, media, entertainment, and professional development. Possessing an optimistic growth mindset, he is known for his creative problem solving, innovative vision, and his relentless focus. As a leader, Mr. Swanger exemplifies the ACORN Values. He strives to empower every individual to identify their passion, fulfill their potential, and have fun every day.

  • Ecaterina Capatina - Director of Marketing

    Ecaterina specialises in concept development, strategy and design, focusing on integrating story and experience, applying principles from integrated marketing, interaction design, and more. Ecaterina also plays a significant role in project management, focusing on the integration of disciplines and stakeholders at the relevant project stages.

  • Klaus Sommer Paulsen - Head of Integrated Story AdventureLAB

    Klaus is the Founder and CEO Creative Director of AdventureLAB. He has been working with storytelling and media for more than 30 years, and integrated marketing, digital multimedia and experience design since the mid-1990s. Besides his work as a designer, concept developer and more, Klaus has been teaching student and professional programs regularly for a quarter of a century and recently completed a three-year term on the Themed Entertainment Association’s International Board.


Our Writers

  • Kirk Hanson - Head Writer

    Kirk Hanson has been working in the entertainment industry for over thirty-five years; primarily as a Story Artist for animation, having worked on theatrical features such as Aladdin, Toy Story 2, and Hercules, and television series such as The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Jonny Quest, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He has also worked as a designer and art director for both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, counting Pirates of the Caribbean, Country Bear Jamboree, Tarzan’s Treehouse, and Monsters Inc. Hide and Go Seek, at Tokyo Disneyland, among the projects he’s been involved with.

    He’s currently head of story for our exciting live-action series, “The Legends of Jackalope Junction”!

  • Doug Bain - Writer

    Doug has worked 30+ years in live TV production with a few years of theater thrown in, and has written 4 spec sit-com scripts – a couple did pretty well in contests. He has also worked with a few writing partners on NDA spec projects, including a TV drama pilot, a feature, a drama/comedy series, and an animated series. He has written quite a few themed experience spec projects (some have done well in contests) as well.

    For Jackalope Junction, Doug has two projects in the works - a children’s book on how to deal with bullies (which will be adapted for our live-action show “The Legends of Jackalope Junction”) and an illustrated novel on the adventures of Jackalope Jim.

  • Brian Collins - Writer

    With over 30 years of experience in marketing, creativity, emerging technologies, and innovation, Brian is an expert at finding solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. A passionate educator, he is now a full-time instructor in themed attractions and live entertainment, immersive design, and other related subjects at the University of Central Florida.

    As the founder of The Brainstorm Institute, Brian leverages his background as a former Walt Disney Imagineer, where he wrote scripts and stories for some of the world's most beloved attractions.

  • Mark Eades - Attractions Writer

    Mark Eades is a writer, retired journalist and former Disney Imagineer residing in Southern California. Mark started his 21-year Disney career while attending California State University, Fullerton. He spent seven years at Disneyland, three years at the Disney Studios and 11 as an Imagineer at WED Enterprises – later renamed Walt Disney Imagineering.

    While at Walt Disney Imagineering he worked on EPCOT, and projects like “Star Tours” and “Muppet*Vision 3D,” and Paris Disneyland. After Disney, he worked on theme park projects for Universal and Warner Bros.

  • Benjamin Lancaster - Writer

    Benjamin Lancaster is a filmmaker and screenwriter with a lifelong interest in themed entertainment and immersive hospitality. His latest feature film, "The Further Adventure of Walt's Frozen Head," premiered at the Santa Cruz Film Festival in 2014 and has been seen at festivals worldwide. His most recent project is an ongoing audio drama set in a never-built city of the future, entitled "Prototype World of Tomorrow".
